Welcome to The St Albans Bowling Club website.   We are the oldest bowls club in St Albans, founded in 1903 and are located in the delightful setting of Clarence Park St Albans.    The Club was originally formed by a group of councillors to extend the popularity of the then Clarence Park Recreation Ground.

We have a  mixed membership of over 80 people and the Club is always keen to welcome new members.  Please see under membership.

Bowls is a sport for all ages, genders and abilities.  It is gaining in popularity as it is relatively inexpensive and easy to learn.  Free coaching is available for prospective members with equipment provided for those who wish to try out the game.  As well as the benefit of healthy exercise and the ability to participate in the sport, the Club prides itself on its social atmosphere and offers the chance to make many new friends along the way.

The season runs from April to September and has a bowling program suitable for all abilities.  The range of competition allows for participation in Club events and Social bowling and for the more competitive bowlers, representing the Club at County, District and National level.

If you are interested in participating then please contact Richard Hall 01727 854833 or message us via the website Contact page.
